This Week at Woodshed - January 10th

The kitchen is full of freshly harvested kale from our garden, bunches of Winter herbs, and lovely local squash roasting in the oven.

This time of year is so special as we enjoy the Winter harvest as well as the food that we preserved in the Summer, like the sweet blueberries from Golden Tree Farm, the gorgeous Italian plums that we add to our Chicken Marbella all Winter, and the deeply flavoured slow roasted Roma tomatoes from Bullock Lake Farm.

These wonderful ingredients that we put away in the Summer, combined with the slim but still lovely Winter Harvest, are the base for our menu this week. We've put together an abundant preorder menu as this is the last week before we close for our shop and kitchen renovation. Our last day will be Saturday, January 14th.

We hope you find the dishes you love on our menu and can tuck them into your freezer to enjoy while we are closed. We are excited to welcome you into our beautiful new space in February.

As we did last week, we will put our soups into plastic liters containers so that you can easily freeze them, and most of our entrees on the menu will also freeze very well.
