This Week at The Woodshed
This week in the kitchen we received the most gorgeous Spring greens and herbs; such an exciting moment! Working in our garden at home we can watch as the April sun warms the soil and everything begins to grow.
We are featuring a lovely arugula salad on this week’s preorder menu, bursting with fresh Spring flavour. We also have our miso herb dressing on the menu, brightening every meal this week at home in our kitchen, this dressing is full of just harvested herbs, great olive oil and a touch of miso. We like to use this dressing for salads, or as a sauce for roasted veggies and fish.
As we move into the Spring season in the kitchen we wanted to offer a few of our Woodshed classics that we have been receiving requests for. This is a great chance to stock up on these favourites dishes as they all freeze well, perfect for an easy and delicious dinner after a long Spring day! We have our boeuf bourguignon, French onion soup and tourtière on the menu as well as some other classics.

This week’s menu
Beautiful local arugula with shaved fennel, apple, and our house made lemon vinaigrette.
Serves 2 to 3 people

A holiday classic, this savoury meat pie made is with our buttery pastry and spiced local pork. We recommend heating your tourtiere in a 350* oven for 15-20 min or until heated through. We like to serve our cranberry relish on the side.

A classic French Onion soup made with our homemade beef bone broth, simmered on our stove for 24 hours. Delicious on its own or topped with toasted bread and gruyere cheese as it is in the best French cafes.
Beautiful slow-cooked grass-fed local beef in red wine and herbs, finished with carrots, onions and sautéed mushrooms. Served with our mashed potatoes

Local Yukon gold potatoes, organic cream, aged gruyere. An excellent side dish.
